Race Commission report "needs to be taken seriously"

Gillian Keegan MP has stressed that the Government-backed review of racial disparities in Britain "needs to be taken seriously" after it has been criticised for being culturally deaf.

Speaking to talkRADIO's Julia Hartley-Brewer, the education minister said those calling the report a "whitewash" are being "very unfair and disrespectful to the commissioners. They've spoken to thousands of people, so they're being disrespected as well."

Boris Johnson’s most senior black adviser has resigned as the Government faced a backlash after a review said Britain is no longer a country where the “system is deliberately rigged against ethnic minorities”.
